At home, their drug addicted room mate works on the hardware.... It's revealed early on that they've changed the name & purpose have changed several times, either because no one believe they're building a teleport, or because they truly have no idea what it's supposed to do.... In any event, one night the thing works, and there are jokes for about ten or fifteen minutes.... Most of the jokes come out of slob humor centered on 4 letter words and an ignorant sense of narcissism.... After the jokes, the movie starts to slow down, and at the halfway point, starts to take it's self seriously in a way it never really recovers from..........
