But, he's supposed to be growing bees, so he gets the ax... Cut to a board meeting, where the female CEO of a cosmetics company is inquiring why sales are plummeting... One man pipes up, & admits the CEO ( the "face" of the brand) is getting old..... Afterwards, she has a meeting with the scientist... She's skeptical at first, but when he demonstrates his serum on a couple of lab rats, she gives him carte blanche... This worries a couple of execs, so they ask her secretary to spy on her.... After a while, the scientist shows the CEO a cat that's turned into a kitten, & says his serum is ready for human testing..... He tests it on the CEO, & after three weeks, she looks five years younger..... But this isn't fast enough for her, so after hours, she sneaks into his lab, takes a stronger dose, & becomes twenty years younger.... But the cat regresses & goes rabid, & the scientist tries to commit suicide.... Even pace, builds mostly on suspense, short runtime.... Not great, but not terrible....

He starts walking through the woods pontificating about the devil, then wonders onto a modern day construction site (I think to let the audience know this movie won't stay committed to one time frame..... We then go to a young mountain man, whom, after a night with his girlfriend walks down an old dirt road & plays guitar for a musical number, while locals express their disapproval... He ends up at the local bootlegger, who reveals his grandfather saw the devil the night before... He runs home, where his grandfather reveals he made silver guitar strings from three Kennedy dollars, & is ready to face off with the devil... The old man plays his guitar at midnight, & the film burns up (He lost)... At his funeral the next day, it's revealed the Kennedy dollars had no silver in them... It turns out, the narrator from the beginning of the movie is the local dowser, & finds Spanish silver coins on the boy's property.... He makes new strings, & is challenged by a greedy undertaker to find gold his ancestors stole from a witch, thus starting three adventures.... Lots of scenes of the protagonist walking down the road playing guitar & singing.... Maintains a steady pace for the first hour, but drags a bit in the 3rd act.... Kind of hard to understand the backwoods lingo at the beginning, & most of the movie is poorly lit, but it's okay if you don't mind acid movies & folk tales....

We sit through a Jermaine Jackson video, then a robot wakes the crew up, & they head for Earth... On Earth, we watch Pia Zadora lip sync through a musical number... Then her boyfriend shows up, who wants to be the only rock star in town, as well as the town bully, & his band is the town gang... The aliens land in town, & when the leader sees Pia, his head explodes... The crew takes him back to the ship & put him back together during another musical number.... Ruth Gordon plays a corny sheriff, and there's a subplot with Michael Berryman as an escaped serial killer... A musical with a soundtrack that's mostly '80s synth pop, with one or two attempts at rockabilly & a passable tribute to DEVO... Lots of musical numbers, with a few attempts at sketch comedy to pad the time, But I really didn't chuckle until about forty minutes in, with the actual humor being quick one liners...

His daughter notices some creep in the next skybox glaring at her.... During an intermission, he visits them backstage with a fake apology, & says she looks like his dead wife... The creep starts sending the girl flowers & creepy love letters, so the pianist decides to confront him..... Turns out, the creep is a doctor looking for a cure for Acromegaly.... He's got a really cool chemistry set & a gorilla in a cage..... When the pianist shows up, an argument ensues, & the creep clocks him & shoots him up with a drug that induces the disease... The creeps assistant reveals (to the audience) just how twisted he is... Afterwards, the pianist becomes a real machine, practicing morning, noon & night, until his hands swell up & he can't play.... Meanwhile, the creep has found a cure, which he plans to use as a bargaining chip for the daughter... Has some slow parts in the second half, but is watchable for the most part.....

So, this young couple are making out in their car, when the boy is grabbed by something that looks like a plastic suit of armor.... Next day, the local sheriff takes the girl to the town doctor, and a pair of locals bring the dead boy, in his car... The mayor shows up wanting to find out what happened, & the sheriff guesses an animal attack... Later on, a young woman sees an alien in a pair of jeans.... Some local hippies try to find & kill the animal, but get killed... Another guy is killed by a ball of light, & some kids find him the next day.... Then a musical number from the local rock band, followed by a guy leaving the show only to find big foot in his basement.... The sheriff wants to call in the state troopers, but the mayor is afraid it might scare off a new tourist trap... Then an astronomer shows up looking for a meteor..... Early '70s synth soundtrack which is pretty grating... Stiff looking regional actors... The low budget audio is passable..... Very riffable..... Couldn't escape this nagging feeling that I'd seen all this before.....

Lingers on a 30 minute parody of ENTER THE DRAGON in the middle... A few celebrity cameos... Very edited for television, with the bawdy parts heavily pixelized, and all the bad words bleeped out, which sucks the punchline out of a racist skit at the end of the movie.... Fairly amusing at the beginning, but loses steam after the DRAGON skit...

A pair of scantily clad women on horseback run into some raiders.... The pair kick the men's butts, but one gets pinned down, so she shoots lasers out of her eyes to start a rock slide... Afterwards, the other one reveals psychic healing power.... Meanwhile, in a nearby village, a young woman tries to warn everyone about a coming raider attack that her pet falcon told her about.... The raiders are sent to the village, this time with cars & guns, to collect some parts for his tank.... The girl escapes, but her brother dies... The girl, the raiders & the psychic warrior girls end up at the same inn, where the psychics rescue the girl & cause the raiders to start a fight amongst each other.... But, the next day, the raiders kidnap one of the psychics, so the other two hafta get her back.... After running from some predictable mutants, the pair find a fallout shelter with some guns & a tank.... Predictably preachy & exploitive, but doesn't spend too much time dwelling on either.... Fun little sword & sorcery post apocalyptic action movie....
