He asks Gramma to look after the kids while he runs into town to pick up the holiday ham & flirt with the lady at the butcher shop, & gets kidnapped by three bumbling crooks who want his invention.... So, with mommy passed & daddy gone too long, gramma convinces the little girl to make a wish on a really creepy elf doll.... Meanwhile, Santa shows up with two elves, one of which really hates his job, especially after being "promoted" to Reindeer pooper scooper.... As Santa leaves, he falls outa the sleigh..... Already grumpy, he's not too thrilled to learn he has to rescue dad & protect the family from the crooks.... Family friendly, most of the jokes are corny, but I got a couple giggles... Otherwise, pretty slow & plodding, with the acting (I think deliberately) pretty underwhelming.....
